SunExpress, a Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa partnership, announced the establishment of an air bridge between Germany and Turkey to ensure the delivery of supplies to the earthquake area. Individual donations will be sent from Germany to Turkey on a regular basis by SunExpress, in collaboration with DPD, FIEGE, time:matters, CB Customs Broker GmbH, and Lufthansa Cargo.
More than a thousand tons of relief items are anticipated to be carried to the earthquake area as part of the SunExpress effort, which will fly special cargo flights from Frankfurt to Antalya to transfer donated supplies.
SunExpress Will Create Special Air Routes in 10 Regions for Earthquake Relief
CEO of SunExpress, Max Kownatzki, stated, “We have continued our operations for evacuation flights for the earthquake zone, bringing relief teams to the earthquake region, and providing supplies outside by extending it overseas. As long as there is a need, we will continue to send supplies between Turkey and Germany and carry out extraction flights from the region. This link we have constructed between Turkey and Germany will promptly address the ongoing emergency demands in the earthquake zone.”Individual gifts donated to the disaster zone may be delivered to 7,500 DPD outlets across Germany as part of the cooperative effort. With the logistical hubs of the FIEGE Group and time:matters, the logistics of the donations will be coordinated. SunExpress and Lufthansa Cargo will fly special, scheduled flights from Frankfurt to Antalya carrying donations, which will then be distributed to individuals in need by AFAD.
