Brazilian carnival will be coming to the metaverse thanks to a cooperation between Upland and Decentraland, two of the biggest blockchain-based metaverses. The program already has a webpage with a number of attractions.
Upland and Decentraland, two of the largest blockchain-based metaverses, have announced cooperation to bring the Brazilian carnival to the metaverse. The collaboration intends to share memorable events from Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Sao Paulo carnivals with online communities.
Decentraland and Upland are Sure to Bring Innovation Through This Action
The metaverse show will have artistic attractions, live broadcasts of concerts and dances, and real-time reporting from the streets of the three party capitals. Pictures from the parades at the Sapuca Sambadrome and the Barra-Ondina circuit in the Bahian capital will be exhibited.
The 3D version of the Mangueira court, the first carnival entity to demarcate territory on the web3, may be found at 1072 Rua Visconde de Niterói in the city of Rio de Janeiro as it is reflected in the Upland metaverse.
Visitors may purchase NFTs of costumes and accessories from Verde-e-Rosa during the parades’ week to adorn their avatars and virtual homes. As well as observing the parade’s noteworthy milestones, this year’s theme, “As Áfricas que a Bahia Sings”, pays respect to Bahian Afro-Blocs such as Araketu, Olodum, and Ilê Aiyê.
How is the Carnival of Brazil going to Take Place?
Through a collaboration with Musigreen, Fissura will demonstrate in Salvador on February 18th why it was the first carnival troupe in Bahia to adopt web3. Miles, the mascot of the Upland metaverse, will perform among other electrifying trio acts including DJs DH8 and Cady and the band Filhos de Jorge. Partygoers will be able to interact with partner metaverses Upland and Decentraland through a sequence of activations.
Visitors will be able to learn about the background of each of the 20 Verde-e-Rosa titles on the avenue while dancing the samba into the night with the avatars in the Decentraland metaverse while wearing carnival costumes and samba emotes.
